Cookie Policy

This page provides all the information you need regarding the use of cookies (technical and profiling) used on this website.
Consult our Privacy Policy page for further information regarding the personal data processing carried out as a consequence of browsing this website.

Cookies

Cookies are small text strings that websites visited by a user send to the latter’s terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same websites at the next visit by the same user. While browsing a website, the user may also receive cookies on their terminal that are sent by different websites or servers (so-called “third party cookies”), which may contain elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages in other domains) present on the site being visited by the user.

Types of cookies

There are two categories of cookies:

  • Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent that  is strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service, explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, to provide such service” (see article 122 (1) of the Privacy Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or manager. They can be split into navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and functioning of the website (allowing purchases to be made or authentication for access to restricted areas); analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, about the number of users and how they visit the website; functional cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase), in order to improve the service provided. Prior user consent is not requested for installation of these cookies, but relative information must be provided in compliance with article 13 of the Privacy Code.
  • Profiling cookies are designed to create user-related profiles and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by users as they navigate the web. Due to the particularly invasive nature that these devices may have in users’ private lives, European and Italian laws state that users must be adequately informed about the use of these cookies and able to express their consent for their use.
